No. Our recipes are completely free from buckwheat, grains and legumes. Every meal is made with fresh meat, vibrant veg and superfoods — frozen freshly cooked and nutritionist formulated to ensure the highest quality for your pup.

How is Different Dog cooked?

Our chefs gently cook every recipe to preserve the nutrients in each ingredient, making sure everything is cooked evenly and to perfection. Each pot is then packed and frozen to lock in all the goodness – so it arrives fresh, stores easily and is ready to serve whenever your dog is.

How is Different Dog stored?

Our recipes arrive frozen to lock the freshness in, so you just need to pop them straight in the freezer and then defrost as needed. They will stay fresh in the fridge for up to five days once defrosted, and suitable in the freezer for up to 10 months.

Is Different Dog suitable for all dogs?

Accepted Answer

All but one of our recipes are suitable for dogs of all ages. We just don’t recommend our Low Purine and Phosphorous recipe if your dog is a puppy, pregnant, or nursing. Our meals are nutritionally complete, and can be fed as a complete diet. For those dogs with specific health requirements, we have our Health+ range. Created by our in-house nutritionist, Bianca, with a focus on common health conditions and ageing dogs. That being said, your dog doesn’t need to have any health condition to enjoy our Health+ range; these recipes are nutritionally complete and equally as delicious as our core range. We know that when you have a dog with health issues, finding the right food is often a long and arduous task. To help you along the way, we have a vet and a nutritionist on our team. Yes, each recipe is approximately 60% meat (all sourced within the UK), and the remainder is specifically selected veg, fruit and superfoods to ensure every recipe is nutritionally balanced and complete. You can find a full list of ingredients in each recipe by visiting our recipe page.

What is the nutritional value and is it good for my dog?

Each of our delicious recipes contains around 60% first-cut, British meat or fish, alongside nutritious fruit, vegetables and superfoods, all of which have been carefully selected by our expert nutritionist, Bianca, and approved by our wonderful vet, Alison. All of our recipes are nutritionally complete, with 12 of 13 suitable for puppies over 8 weeks old (Low Purine and Phosphorus is our only dish recommended for adult dogs only). Can Different Dog be fed alongside Dry, wet or raw food?

Yes, you can safely serve our freshly cooked recipes alongside dry, wet, or raw dog food, as the digestion rate of our food is consistent with these diets, ensuring that your dog can enjoy a mix with a low risk of digestive issues. If your dog is prone to a sensitive stomach, we recommend chatting to our in-house experts, who will create a personalised transition programme to support your dog while introducing their new diet.

Absolutely! We have 13 delicious recipes across 7 protein sources to ensure there is something for everyone to enjoy, even the fussiest of pups. Each dish oozes irresistible flavours and aromas, which have helped hundreds of picky eaters rediscover their love of mealtimes again. In fact, we’re so confident they’ll enjoy them that we offer an Empty Bowl Guarantee, which allows you to try our meals risk-free; if your dog doesn't love their first recipes, we'll give you your money back.
