What adult dogs need from their food.

The adult years cover a lot of ground, from the boundless energy of early adulthood through to the slower, steadier pace that comes before the senior years. Throughout all of it, what your dog eats shapes how they look, feel and age. Ultra-processed kibble fills them up, but real, whole food goes further.

Why fresh food for adult dogs is a no-brainer:

Better digestion, more nutritionGently cooked from whole ingredients, Different Dog is easier to absorb than ultra-processed kibble, so your dog gets more of what they actually need from every bowl. The variety of whole food ingredients also supports a more diverse gut microbiome, which underpins everything from immunity to energy levels. You'll notice it in their coat, their energy and, yes, their poos (smaller, firmer, less... fragrant).

A coat worth showing offNatural Omega-3s and whole ingredients support skin health from the inside out, resulting in a softer, shinier coat that's noticeably different within weeks. Less scratching, less shedding and more people asking what you feed them.

Steady energy, every dayUltra-processed food provides fast-burning fuel that doesn't last. Fresh food, gently cooked from whole ingredients, supports more consistent energy throughout the day – for the morning walk, the afternoon run and whatever the evening throws at them. Zoomies included.

Lean muscle, healthy weightHigh-quality animal protein supports lean muscle through the active adult years, while the absence of dense starchy fillers makes weight naturally easier to manage. No empty calories, no unnecessary bulk, just the right fuel for how your dog actually lives.

A stronger immune systemA healthy gut microbiome plays a central role in immune function, and fresh food supports gut diversity in a way that heavily processed alternatives simply can't. Antioxidants from whole food ingredients – leafy greens, berries, root vegetables – add an extra layer of support, helping your dog manage everyday challenges from the inside.
