Many dogs love the beach, it gives them the space to run and roam free as well as to enjoy the sea and swimming. There are many beaches in the UK which are dog friendly and allow dogs to roam free but do always check before you visit to see if there are any access restrictions and do remember to pick up any mess your dog makes, as well as keep them on the lead if there is wildlife around.

Milford on sea, Bournemouth: One of the few all year-round dog friendly beaches in Hampshire. This shingle beach is surrounded by low cliffs and colourful beach huts. For additional walking there is a nature reserve right behind where dogs are welcome.
Dungees Beach, Kent: Best for doggy explorers, who like to run and run. The beach is said to be the second largest shingle beach in the world. The Romey Marshes border has plenty of wildlife so make sure to keep your four-legged friend on a lead if they like chasing birds!
Cornwall – There are many wonderful dog friendly beaches in Cornwall with plenty to choose from whether you prefer sandy or stony, busy or remote there is something for everyone. Crumble’s favourites are Constantine Bay and Porthcothan. Cramond Beach, Edinburgh: To the north west of Edinburgh, this beach is an easy escape from the city. There is plenty of space to let the pooches run about and at low tide you can walk all the way to the causeway.
